I’m a bioinformatics engineer, which in practice means I spend most of my time wrangling large-scale genomic data into something other scientists can actually use.
I was introduced to coding through open source, and it permanently shaped how I approach software. I like to tweak and optimize systems, and I have a bad habit of building my own tools when existing ones don’t quite fit. Outside of work, I’m usually deep in some DIY project that ends up being harder than I anticipated.
About this blog
I write about the things I’m working on: bioinformatics infrastructure, AI tooling, and the occasional detour into whatever’s captured my attention.
